The Least Memorable Adaptations

Some adaptations of Sherlock Holmes just don’t get it. Like, at all.

Take Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes (2009): It’s got Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, so you'd expect it to be a hit, right? Well, it’s more about action and explosions than the brilliant detective work we’re used to. Holmes isn’t exactly known for throwing punches every five minutes. Sure, it’s fun to watch, but if you’re looking for mind games, this one’s a bit of a letdown.
